His best role till date is considered the one in the hit series ‘It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia’ as Charlie Day. In the series he plays Mac’s childhood friend and a co-owner of Paddy’s. Charlie is married to actress Mary Elizabeth Ellis, a co-star from ‘It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia’. Mary plays the role of a recurring waitress in the series. The couple got married in 2006 and is together since then. Apart from acting and basket ball, Charlie is also a talented piano player and he also plays the keyboard for the song ‘Day Man’ in It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia’.
