IT’S ALWAYS SUNNY IN PHILADELPHIA seasons are American comedy TV sitcom created by Rob McElhenney. He developed it with help of Charlie Day and Glenn Howerton. Its Opening theme “Temptation Sensation” has been given by Heinz Kiessling. Originally the show was aired on FX channel. “It’s ‘Seinfeld’ on crack” is the tagline of the show. IT’S ALWAYS SUNNY IN PHILADELPHIA season 1 made its debut on 4th August, 2005. “Paddy’s Pub” is the main set up of the show. It is an unsuccessful Irish bar in South Philadelphia run by a group of friends. The show is also famous as “Sunny”, “Always Sunny” and “It’s Always Sunny”. IT’S ALWAYS SUNNY IN PHILADELPHIA seasons main cast are four friends Dennis, Sweet Dee, Mac, and Charlie and this group say themselves “The Gang”. Dennis, the co owner of the pub, is a heavy smoker, drunker and drug taker. He wants everyone to appreciate his looks and sex appeal. He goes to strange heights trying to attract attention of people around him. Charlie is a sluggish and drug addict underachiever. He can hardly read or write and is regarded as ‘retarded’ by rest of the gang but he likes them. Mac aspires to be real gangster and is the most active manager of pub. Frank was introduced as a mid crises man and he has long history of dealing with grimy people. All of these are selfish, witty people who lack unity and never leave any chance to show down others. They play pranks on each other and make schemes for personal gains. They are very much proud to be Americans and get to fights when someone speaks against America. Their constant competition among themselves results in physical and emotional pain.
In 2008, the show was nominated for Best Actor in a Series, Comedy or Musical and Best Television Series, Comedy or Musical by Satellite Award.
